April & Bryan Photography had the privilege of capturing a beautifully traditional wedding this past November at Tellus360 wedding Nicholas and Rebecca Fasnacht. The two showcased their Irish heritage, which was the perfect decision considering Tellus is known to be an Irish owned and operated venue. Obviously no coincidence there. The classic plaid was seen in flats the bride wore down the isle, to the blankets bridesmaids used to keep warm at the rooftop wedding. Elements of Celtic tradition were riddled throughout the ceremony, with a “A Treasure of Irish Fairy and Folk Tales” for guests’ reading pleasure. The groom also sported plaid in his tie and the couple’s dog Dougie rocked a plaid bandana for his human’s special day.
Straying from a conventional wedding dress, Rebecca chose an all white gown embroidered with six-point stars. These stars were not only for decoration, but represent the six counties of Northern Ireland. Matching their constellation styled wedding invitations, the dress reflected that of a starry night with glimmering bead work and an a-line silhouette. Adding a little warmth to her ensemble, Rebecca wrapped herself in a fur shrug, which she wore down the isle and throughout the celebrations.
To top off the stunning look, Rebecca really outdid herself wearing a decorative headband with mosaic like mirrors and rhinestones that seemed to drip with luxury. Her jewelry was no exception to the cosmos theme with earrings appearing as if to resemble a super nova.
Though a classic romantic styled wedding, the two seemed to find a common liking of greens and succulents. They could be found in Rebecca’s bouquet and in Nicholas’s boutonniere. It surprising looked amazing with the contrast of golds and deep earth tones.
The ceremony itself was held on the rooftop of Tellus360, which proved to be a little chilly in November, but definitely did not stop these two lovebirds from tying the knot. After the I Dos, The wedding party and guests made their way inside to an incredibly extravagant tablescaped reception. Talk about extravagance. A king table supported gold rimmed tea cups accompanied by course conscious gold plates. Greenery lined the center of the table, almost to serve as an organic table runner and physalis or, cape gooseberries, adorned the dinner plates for a folksy feel. With the help of navy blue tapered candles, the ambiance was set and was more than just warm and cozy.
These two found a way to implement both of their interests into one theme and that is not an easy task. Use this Dream Wedding as an opportunity to delve into your creative side and help you arrange your special day. Happy planning!
