We all know the Franklin Institute as a prestigious museum of science, but who knew it would be the perfect wedding venue? Alexandra and Stephen Rabena shared their special day with friends and family this past Fall and did it dazzle! April & Bryan Photography had the privilege of capturing this exquisite wedding, dripping in luxury. With an urban contemporary vibe, the couple utilized ivy greens, blush pinks and whites in their floral arrangements and bridesmaids dresses. The bridal party must have been extremely excited to wear and keep these velvet, versatile dresses. We all know bridesmaids dresses can be a one and done deal, but Alexandra truly thought through her choice of attire for her bride tribe.
Alexandra chose a low cut back and form fitting wedding dress in a mermaid style gown with lace embellishments, while the groom opted for an all black tux with a pale gold handkerchief. The pair made for a gorgeous bride and dapper groom.
While being in Philadelphia, the couple took advantage of the scenery with photos in front of City Hall on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway and the fountain at Logan Park with the Philadelphia Museum of Art disappearing into the background.
The exploration didn’t end there. With the entire Franklin Institute at their disposal, the two made their way around the whole property and finally to their reception, which started off with a bang. The whole wedding party participated in a group dance followed by an all out glow stick rave!
All in all, this wedding was playful, romantic and a day the Rabenas will never forget.
Get inspired by this incredibly elegant wedding so that yours can be the Dream Wedding you always hoped it would be.
