Back when fathers denied suitors permission to marry their daughters, the couple would simply run away and get married in secret. Today, elopement isn’t the most common way to go about tying the knot, but Julie and Tom found it to be the perfect way.
Kate Neal of Kate Neal Photo had the privilege of photographing the playful couple at Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens. Like a fairytale, the two were surrounded by whimsical mosaics of glass, creating the absolute ideal location for celebration.
To contrast such a busy atmosphere, Julie wore an elegant off-the-shoulder wedding gown with a classic fur wrap. A simple white peony tucked in her hair and soft pink and deep red tones in her bouquet exemplified the beauty of the bride. Mosaic styled earrings complimented the gardens colorfully embellished walls and her vintage Tiffany wedding band tied the look together.
Adding an intimate touch, the two wrote in vow booklets, then to recite their devoted words to each other. Julie and Tom look enthralled with each other and we hope this inspires you to remember the reason for a wedding day. It’s not always about the long guest list and extravagant venues, but a little glitz and glam never hurt anyone!
